London Medical Air (LMA) along with our partner Med-Flight Air Ambulance has been in continuous operation since 1980 providing high quality critical care medical transports, regionally, nationally and internationally. We operate fixed-wing aircrafts such as the Learjet 35 A and the KingAir 200. We have our own FAA Air Carrier Certification and employ our own pilots and medical staff.

We have been CAMTS-accredited since 1997. We have medical capabilities to handle patients of all ages ranging from neonate to adult, and all medical conditions from stable to very critical. We routinely transport critical patients on ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), ventricular assist devices such as Tandem Heart & Heart Mate, neonates requiring isolettes, and every other condition. We can typically be airborne in one hour after receiving a call to launch the aircraft.

The standard medical crew includes a Critical Care Registered Nurse and a Critical Care EMT-Paramedic. Additional staff can be added as the patient condition dictates, including physicians, respiratory therapists, perfusionists, and other nurses or paramedics. Specialty teams with experience in patient transports include neonatal (NICU), pediatric (PICU), cardiovascular assist (IABP & PTVA), and high-risk obstetrics (HROB). Each team has their own specialized medical equipment pertinent to their patients' needs and conditions.

Wellness Programs

Most employer groups want to provide "Wellness" to their members but are challenged with how to begin. London Medical Management, Inc. (LMM) has developed several programs to help companies with both short-term and long-term cost containment strategies.

Our health care professionals analyze your health care data to determine the programs that are best suited for your employees. Every employer is different, as are their health care challenges. For example, you may have a large group of members with diabetes, but your wellness initiatives may be more focused on other disease management areas. With our analysis, we are able to identify this and direct your efforts more efficiently.

Here is a value-added benefit that combines our crisis management and claims review expertise with a three-tiered wellness process:

1st Tier

A web-based or printed Health Risk Assessment (HRA) form is completed by the member. A copy is sent to both the member and a Patient PAL "coach". The coach, a Patient PAL registered nurse calls the member to consult on any results that fall into a moderate or high-risk category.

2nd Tier

A Patient PAL advocate will assist the member in scheduling a comprehensive physical with an in network physician. The dollars allocated for “preventive health care or wellness” are utilized to cover the expense of a basic history and physical appointment. LMM negotiates with the health plan or providers to cover the cost of the physical.

3rd Tier

With the member's approval, the physician who completes the physical shares the results of the exam with the patient's family physician. If the patient is one of the nearly 70% of patients who DO NOT have a family doctor, Patient PAL helps find them an in-network physician and schedules a follow up appointment with that physician.

We believe this three-tiered process will engage the member in the health plan and provide preventative services that will, in turn, result in cost savings to the company.

Health Claims Negotiations

London Medical Management, Inc. (LMM) partners with self-funded employers to assist in the effort of fiduciary responsibility sought by CFOs regardless of the size of the group. We contract directly with these employers to become their “second set of eyes” in the claims paying process.

Most employers utilize discounts available through their ASO carrier, TPA, or other managed care organization as their process of cost containment. At LMM we seek additional opportunities of savings by reviewing every health claim and reaching out to hospitals, facilities, and providers when the pre-negotiated discount is less than desirable or the member has received care from an out-of-network provider where NO discount applies. Years of experience, as well as our internal health claims data, provide the confidence for our knowledge-based negotiators to achieve a history of increased savings to every self-funded health plan.

At London Medical Management, Inc., we believe in giving back for the success of our business. In doing so, London Medical Management Ministries was created. Since 2004 we have been providing Patient PAL advocacy services to churches and their members around the United States.

London Medical Management Ministries is a referral based service. Patients and/or family members are referred to Patient PAL through their Pastor or a member of the ministerial staff. Once referred, we assist in helping these individuals and their families navigate through the medical system with the same care, compassion and expertise that we give to our commercial clients.

About Our Company

London Medical Management, Inc. (LMM) was founded in 1989 by former hospital administrator, Jack G. London. The initial focus of LMM was to assist physicians and facilities through contract negotiations and analysis of managed care networks and health plans. It was soon discovered that both the hospitals and physicians were not prepared for the pending discounts that were offered by HMO's and other managed care organizations in return for increased volume. As managed care increased in market share, physicians and hospitals began to aggressively seek contractual arrangements to offset competition. LMM became the analyst that these organizations depended on for consulting services.

In the late 90's the patients became the focus of LMM. Patients of corporations that were providing health care insurance were seeking answers to complex health care needs and again that void was filled by the nurses and physicians that became a part of LMM.
